Disease State: Lung Cancer

Educational Objectives

1. Identify and discuss treatment management barriers for patients with Stage IIIB unresectable and Stage IV NSCLC.  
   
2. Compare and contrast clinical efficacy and safety data of approved and unapproved targeted therapies, as well as side effect management strategies for NSCLC.
   • Educate clinicians and pathologists on the utility of biomarker testing to individualize therapy and its impact on patient outcomes.
3. Review the advantages and disadvantages of combination therapy for Stage IIIB unresectable and Stage IV NSCLC.
   
4. Improve the awareness of NSCLC Treatment Guidelines and discuss barriers to adherence.  
5. Improve patient and care giver understanding of diagnosis and treatment options for NSCLC.
