Boehringer Ingelheim is proud to provide sponsorships to support events and activities of organizations and associations whose interests in healthcare education (non-CME) and patient outcomes are aligned with ours. In exchange for sponsorship funding, BI may receive some promotional or commercial value in exchange for its support. To qualify for support, activities must provide education that relates to the following therapeutic areas: Respiratory, Neurology, Cardiovascular, Virology and Urology.
Programs ineligible for support include the following:
- Programs that do not primarily benefit health care and health care education to those in need or build math and scientific knowledge and skills among teachers and students
- Continuing education credit fees/tuition, travel or lodging for a healthcare professional to attend an education and/or scientific conference
- Direct scholarships or grants to individuals
- Charitable donations to U.S. based organizations that are not tax-exempt under paragraph 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code
- Political, lobbying, fraternal, or social organizations
- General operational expenses
- Non-research grant proposals and donation requests for individual healthcare professionals or group practices
- Requests for grants or donations that are not of a scientific interest to Boehringer Ingelheim
